Although our results were slightly lower this year, the Greene County School District remains proud of the dedication and hard work shown by our students, teachers, and staff.
For the 2024–2025 school year, GCSD earned a B rating—placing us as the highest-rated B district in the state of Mississippi, just 4 points shy of an A.
Highlights:
*Greene County High School earned another A rating and is ranked 12th among all high schools in Mississippi.
*Sand Hill School maintained its solid B rating.
*Leakesville Elementary, Leakesville Jr. High, and McLain School each received a C rating and are already working hard to grow and improve.
While we take pride in our academic performance, we know that no single rating can capture the full picture. A child is more than a test score, and we are proud of all our students—not just for their academic growth, but who they are becoming as well-rounded, responsible, respectful, and productive young men and women.
Greene County is a special place with wonderful students! We thank you for your continued support!
